Winners Announced in 12thAnnual

BCSSI Art & Photography Contest

A record number of individuals – 41 in all – have their paintings and photography pieces on display at the Lebanon Public Library through May 27th as part of the 12th Annual BCSSI (Boone County Senior Services Inc.) Art & Photography Contest which is being held in celebration of Older Americans’ Month, a tradition of recognizing the contributions and achievements of older Americans since 1963.

Winning entries this year are as follows:

Amateur Painting: 1st – Tish Barth, Zionsville, 2nd – Carole Reeves, Zionsville, 3rd – Mary Ping, Lebanon and Honorable Mention – Barbara Brinker, Whitestown

Advanced Painting: 1st – Mary Beth Searles, Lebanon, 2nd – Shirley Luttrell, Zionsville,  3rd – Debra Christian, Whitestown and Honorable Mention – Thomas Leivette, Whitestown

Photography: 1st – Jill Bowers, Lebanon, 2nd – Rex Bowman, Lebanon, 3rd – Daniel Warkentien, Lebanon and Honorable Mention – Ed Cambra, Zionsville

Advanced Painting titled “Serenity”

Artists participating in this Contest/Exhibition are over age 60 and reside in Boone County.  The Exhibition is on the 2nd Floor of the Library located at 104 E. Washington Street in Lebanon.  The public is invited to view the Exhibition during Library hours of Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  BCSSI also offers art classes at both the Lebanon and Zionsville locations.  For more information, contact Anita Bowen or Stacie McQuern at (765)482-5220 or (317)873-8939, or by e-mail bcssi@booneseniors.org.
